Glasgow Celtic. The club was formed in the late 1800's by Marist brothers in the east end of Glasgow. Initialy a charitible organisation funding soup kitchens for the immigrant Irish population, a hangover from the great Irish famine, the Glasgow Irish made Celtic their focal point to socialise and galvanise their situation in a hostile environment.
