I've often felt that one of of the most evocative crest designs belonged to that of my favourite club (obvious bias!) Glasgow Celtic.

The club was formed in the late 1800's by Marist brothers in the east end of Glasgow. Initialy a charitible organisation funding soup kitchens for the immigrant Irish population, a hangover from the great Irish famine, the Glasgow Irish made Celtic their focal point to socialise and galvanise their situation in a hostile environment.

See what you think: http://i5.ebayimg.com/08/i/000/df/0d/b5af_1_b.JPG
