- LogoBlog Redesign: Big Design For The Little Blog That Could
-
Logo Blog has had a makeover! After months of planning, and reworking ideas, our new site design is finally finished and ready to share with the world. Our site started out small and our original design was simple, but it brought us a long way. Although we all have a special place set aside for our old design, we decided that it was time for a change and Logo Blog deserved an opportunity to shine more brightly.
The staff at Logo Blog would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The NetMen Corp., who is the gifted talent behind our new design. They worked diligently to create multiple drafts for both the logo and site graphics. They did a fantastic job and Logo Blog will forever be grateful to them.
The team at NetMen Corp is very patient and accommodating. After agreeing to help us out with our new design, they complied with every idea we threw at them and never complained after every draft they created for us. We were a bit picky here at Logo Blog, but that’s only because we strive for perfection. Thanks to their generosity, we now have a brand new logo and site design that both modernize and add style to Logo Blog. We all hope you enjoy the new design and thanks for visiting!

I am thrilled to see the huge response of votes that we received over the past week for our logo redesign contest. Choosing a winner is tough and your voices were heard, but the voting was so close between two designs that I am narrowing it down and opening the votes once again so that we can pick the ultimate winner. Below are the two finalists. The voting will only last until 12pm Pacific time on April 23rd so get your votes in right away! The voting box is at the bottom right of the screen. Good luck finalists!

- Impatient with Change: Redesigning Barack Obama’s Logo
-
Economic hardship is not something that is easy for any of us to deal with, but unfortunately, our choices are limited. The global economic crisis is a major reality and is in the collective conscience of America.
Barack Obama has not had a whole lot of time in his new position as the American President, but he has a long road ahead of him. The American people are looking to him for both hope and leadership to get us out of this mess.
As I mentioned in my last post, No We Can’t: No Hope For Obama’s Hopefull Logo things have not changed much since his inauguration. Although it has been a short span of time, the American people are notoriously impatient and fickle. Have we already lost hope in his ability to lead? Has the ideals of Hope and Change collapsed like Lehman Brothers and AIG?
I also threw it out to the logo community to see if anyone could come up with a new logo concept for Mr. Obama that is a bit more pessimistic then the logo we have grown to know. I didn’t get any responses with logo designs, so Logo Blog decided to make its own changes to Barack Obama’s logo. Here at Logo Blog we all wish success for the new president, however here are a few zings on his logo for those who are not so happy with the current administration.
Let’ s bring a bit of light-hearted humor to a situation that is terribly bleak. Enjoy. I hope you find these humorous and we can all try to laugh in dark time. Hope is still out there and in order for things to get better, we need to have it. Take a look at ours and send us your examples! And Dont forget to vote in our poll!

- Logo Design and Me: One Blogger’s Story
-
In response to many of the emails that I’ve been receiving lately, I think it may be appropriate to introduce myself a little more thoroughly than I originally had in my first post. I would like to start by thanking all of you who have shown interest in more than just my articles, and I appreciate all of the interesting logo conversation.
Well, for starters, I am currently studying at the graduate level, pursuing a degree in business with aspirations of being entrepreneur. As such, I have found that Logo Blog is the perfect avenue for not only remaining involved in business branding, marketing, and design, but also the exposure to countless organizations.
As a person who is interested in both design and the design business, Logo Blog allows for me to discuss not only what logo design companies are doing to make them successful, but also hear many of the negative issues that the public have with them. Through my conversations with you, and the insightful comments you leave, I know that my understanding of design, logos, and ultimately branding will be all the more developed. This of course is something I am extremely grateful for.
In addition to just discussing the issues that people have with logos and the companies that endorse them, Logo Blog also receives a lot of input about logo design companies themselves. The top ten-logo design companies section combines a large number of reviews, both good and bad for logo design companies. This unbiased account of logo companies is one of my biggest influences when concerning the direction that I may choose to follow in my own endeavors.
That being said, those of you who will be, or have used any of our top sites, please submit your reviews. In a further attempt, to present fair reviews, we will now require additional evidence (positive or negative) of your experience with any of the listed logo companies.
It’s important that Logo Blog maintain the most up to date and detailed reviews of the sites we focus on. If you can, it really helps for you to supply specific examples of how your projects turned out. This helps us more accurately evaluate the sites, as well as understand why you were or weren’t satisfied. Nothing too major, but it is important that Logo Blog produces, quality reviews to all of its readers.
Thank you again for all of your interest in myself and Logo Blog. Whether it’s a famous logo, or not so famous logo, I will be here to cover the trends and the industry. Hopefully I’ve shed a little more light on the blog for you logo fans out there.
-Kevin
