it would be even better if you could explain the meaning of the logos and what made that particular one the favourite. love 2010 because a first for Africa and South Africa. but all are unique and good>

  17. Joe Garner Says:

I personally think that the 1954 World Cup Logo was a total joke…its really usual for a logo design.
my favorite of all the fifa logos so far would be the 2006 World Cup Logo because of its vibrance and playfulness. plus it looks like the most professional logo of the lot…(the new 2014 logo is also untidy and amateur)

  18. nigel Says:

Fifa world cup 2010, South Africa has the best logo of all time.

  19. Lordwish Says:

IKorea Japan and South Africa 2010 logs holds weight and sheer originality.

  20. Karli Says:

I believe that the 2006 was the best, because of it clean sleek and playful style. What are they thinking with this 2014… it looks very amateur, it should represent more than the cup, which has been depicted over and over again.

  21. Sebastian Says:

  26. Eduardo mendes Says:

The best logo on my opinion is the 1950, i like de sox with all the flags together, if the red ball is replace for the jabulani the logo going to be de best logo, thanks…..

  27. Saad Durrani Says:

2006 is the best logo there can be. Shows that the joy of the game that people share, it still makes me happy to see it… 2014 is bit of disappointment… 2010 was as well…

  28. Max Says:

By far, the Korea/Japan of 2002 is my favorite and the classiest, professional logo. It set a bench mark for the 06, 10, and now the 14 logo by using the most valued asset of the World Cup-the Jules Rimet Trophy.

I would say the next logo is the 2006 Germany logo. It evokes the emotions of the cup and people, the spirit of fans, country, and cup, and is neat and professional looking in a casual manner. Another favorite of mine is France 98. The ball sitting ontop of the world says it all and the colors are bright and sleek. The last one I like, especially for its time frame, is the France 38 logo. I think it was ahead of its time.

I do not like the just announced Brazil logo nor do I like the 2010 SA logo but it is not my worse by far. It is quite good and was based off of FIFA’s general logo for other tournaments in recent times. I really don’t like 1962′s Chile logo. I get it, but don’t like it. I hope they spruce up the Brazil logo since the one we are seeing is not offical yet. The design is offical but the color scheme and year are not although most sites are showing this design but that doesn’t mean its it. I hope not.

  29. Nauiseb Says:

2010 logo… it was just awesome.

  30. Alex Says:

Did you guys know there is an animation that goes with the 2014 logo? I’m not sure about the other ones but seriously check out the animation and you will see why its simple but also meaningful.

  31. Alex Says:

Oh and all the posters from 1970 and earlier, are NOT LOGOS. Those were the posters made for the time. The 1954 one that everyone is complaining about was a poster. It had an actual logo too. As for Brazil’s logo, I say once again, check out the animation that accompanies it. It’s much more meaningful. For those that say it’s “untidy” or “amateur”, I’d like to see you come up with better.

  32. Menyatso Says:

I think 1950 logo was ahead of its time, very classic. I also like the 1958 one. The recent 2010 logo is by far the best. We must bear in mind that these would improve with the changes in technology, designers are now able to do better. I’m a bit disappointed with Germany’s 1974 and Brazil 2014 logo’s. They just look plain, they din’t capture my imagination.

Funny, when I saw the latest logo in the series I really had to wonder why they could not come up with something better than that for such a huge event. So many colors and so much going on, wow. It just has no appeal to me, but I am not a soccer fan!

  35. Diane Says:
