I use a designer for many projects and have used him for years. Sometimes the projects take a long time to get through because quite frankly I am very busy. I pay him on time and many times in advance, but sometimes I have to step away from a design project for a few weeks while I travel or work on another project. It doesn't mean I'm running away or losing interest or am trying to steal his work. If I had the time to work on the design projects full-time, I wouldn't have to hire someone. If my designer believed what you said, he'd have lost out on a lot of my business over the years. You are making some erroneous assumptions here. Prevention is, after all, the best medicine. The other ones I avoid are those that tell you that they are going to give you so much business that you wont be able to handle it, but can you please give him a discount.....
