| A logo design is a reflection of a company’s corporate identity. That is why when companies merge, on several occasions their logo designs undergo similar treatment. When two or more corporate brands decide to unite, either through a merger or an acquisition, it often gives birth to a new corporate logo.
But logo design merger of two corporate brands is not an easy activity to execute. The companies involved must ensure that the logo merger can successfully elucidate what is different about the newly created brand. Have a look at 12 of the most impressive logo mergers of corporate brands: |

1. Commerzbank Merger with Dresdner Bank: |

You guys chose “ExxonMobil” as an exciting corporate post-merger logo over Sprint?
The Sprint/Nextel merger produced what might actually have been the coolest logo I’ve seen in a while, whereas the ExxonMobil logo is a joke.

still waiting for the GENeral electric and aliTALIA merger. Esay to make out what the name of the merged entity is gonna be, but the logo sure is gonna be fun!

Citigroup is by far the best of this list. Clever, simple, clean… setting a standard that should be followed.

Personally, I think Citi logo is the most successful transformation. Love the simplicity of this logo design.

It’s unreal for ‘Tata Docomo’ to be so adventureous on typography… I can see that kind of typography on a modern techno / rave a album.
