Have you ever imagined the earth without colors…how boring and dull our lives would have been. My journey as a graphic designer has helped me learn the symbolic and psychological impact of different colors. Every color has a unique personality and delivers a different message. Therefore, when you get a logo design for your company, be very careful with the color selection. Always pick those colors which reflect the nature and characteristics of your business.

Red, is claimed to be the most commonly used color in logo designs as it easily grabs attention of the viewers. However, red should not be only used for its arresting quality because it says a lot more. It reflects courage, romance, aggressiveness, strength, danger, blood, passion and Christmas.

When I was a young boy, my father took me to the clinic to restore my primary teeth. LOL. That was not the black parade, but my first dental abrade. To be very honest, I was too terrified to observe their logo but now I feel calm and ready to write this article on the basic elements of Dental Logos.

First of all, the logo design company should be knowledgeable, careful and selective about the field of dentistry, its instrumentation, and nitty-gritty. The characteristic feature of a dental logo which determines its uniqueness are White Teeth, obviously. You may frequently notice dental logos making reference to tooth decay, tooth sensitivity, various gum diseases and the four types of teeth. However, the main focus of dental logos is to pull in more people towards your dental clinic with the help of inspired design elements, creative style and innovative concepts.

Design Elements of Dental Logos:

1) Colors

The colors used in dental logos are mainly white and red. Their simplicity and dullness give an elegant and subtle look to these logos. Other colors such as pink, blank and green are also sparsely used to adjust their slenderness and colorfulness.

2) Fonts

Dental logos normally use simpler fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, Garamond and Corsiva. Simple typefaces further provide these logos with a better and professional look.

3) Style

The style in dental logos is usually illustrative and comic. Generally, detailed symbols such as Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Dental plates and Dentures depict the mission of the dental company and concerns of the customers, both at the same time. For the same reason, good dental logos are successfully able to distract kids from dental fear. And of course, it is natural… So I was not at all embarrassed at my time.

A logo is a visual message that has global appeal delivering complete information about an organization, product, brand or entity to its targeted audience. A logo visually describes a company, its nature of business and the product or services it offers to its customers. A professional logo identifies your sincerity towards your business offering and makes you stand apart from your competitors.

When it comes to music, the band’s complete image and its genre of the music is displayed in its logo. All the successful and upcoming bands try to adapt unique logos, to achieve distinctive recognition worldwide. Music bands get their logos designed professionally, to leave a lasting and unforgettable impact on the minds of their audience. A band logo primarily speaks about its specific kind of music and the message of the band.

Elements of Band Logos:

Following are the elements of band logos which, if merged well can deliver an extremely extraordinary band logo.

Colors of Band Logos:

Those band logos which have a consistent color palette are visually appealing. Colors like red, black, orange and their gradients are frequently used while designing logos for rock bands. These colors indicate the passion and intensity of music. Red, is the color, which evokes aggressiveness and grabs the attention of the viewers. Black portrays boldness and unique style. Hues of orange make the logo livelier and give an elegant style to the band. If studied, it can be seen that these colors are the most popular in the music band industry.

Fonts of Band Logos:

Most of the band logos display fonts that are simple, readable, trendy and artistic, all at the same time. The text plays a significant role in making band logos look voguish and special. Forte, Britannic Bold and freestyle script are the most common typefaces used for logos of rock bands. These modish fonts convey the nature and genre of the music a band is creating. The name of the band itself becomes the identity mark (logo) in such cases.

Images of Band Logos:

There are a few bands that have logos solely based on a picture. These are mostly fancy and decorative images that work well for the publicity of these bands. Unusual and bold images become a sign of identity and portray the type of listeners the band caters to, such as, “mid-classical”, “hardcore”, or “hip”. An effective and lasting image successfully conveys the adjectives of a band.

Style of Band Logos:

A band logo should portray the mindset of the target generation and audience in a chic manner. Logos convey the perspective of the band through their style. While designing band logos, there are no specific rules that need to be followed. They should be styled in a very contemporary and eye-catching manner, giving the band a unique definition of identity and fame.

In short, all the elements of a band logo should have clarity and distinction. Creating a band logo is very crucial, as the fonts, colors and style need to be blended in a very artistic way. When the essential elements are applied properly; the crafted logos leave memorable and recognizable impressions on the mind of an observer.

The airline business deals with the air transportation of passengers and freight. For reasons of a speedy travel, comfort and efficiency of services, millions of people including businessmen, politicians, celebrities and masses, etc., prefer this mode of transportation worldwide. But with such fierce competition among airlines operating on the same routes, it is becoming very difficult for passengers to opt for just one airline. Hence, apart from providing better and efficient service, it is crucially important for airlines to have distinctive and striking logos that demonstrate comfort, speed and reliability to their passengers.

Elements of Airline Logos:

Logos must enforce an ever-lasting notion on the viewers’ vision and mind. Therefore, an ideal airline logo must truly and intelligently represent a service-based corporation. It is also noteworthy that many airlines focus on their country of origin (as in national airlines) and thus, show cultural aspects in their airline logos. Some significant outlines of the airline logos are as following:

Colors of Airline Logos:

Colors play a fundamental role in all types of visual arts. Hence, the colors in airline logos are generally attractive, sometimes bright and otherwise subtle. Occasionally, some dull shades are also used in order to highlight a successful outlook of the firm. These colors indicate the solidity, strength and existence of the firm. The shades used in airline logos showcase prestige, elegance and simplicity.

Fonts of Airline Logos:

The fonts used in airline logos must encompass the significance of the business along with culturally expressive behavior. The domination of the firm in an airline logo is illustrated by the size and look of the typeface. It can be bold, italic, conventional, modern, artistic, 3D or even abstract. However, any or whatever typeface used, should be capable of grabbing customer’s attention with the first look and projecting a bold image in their mind about the company and its quality of service.

An additional element in the fonts of airline logos worldwide comes from their national language. A lot of airlines have displayed their airline name/title in their logo in their national language too, in very highly stylized fonts. Most of these logos have a striking consistency and balance between the two typefaces.

Style of Airline Logos:

Simplicity defines the airline logos best. Most of the airline logos have been designed in a straightforward style with the intention for every individual to understand. However, many other airlines have added national flags or cultural characteristics (national or cultural emblems (animals, imprints, colors, etc) in their logos to represent their country of origin or base. Additionally, some airline logos display certain ambiguous elements of flight, speed and service that are intelligently and graphically expressed.

Many large-scale companies in almost every field of scope of business are striving to come up with eye-catching and unique designs for their logos to attract the public. However, airline logos are among the most recognized visual emblems and identity marks that have achieved global acceptance and identification.

A Hotel provides its customers with comfort, leisure activities and excellent services to make them enjoy their business trip or vacations while still feeling at home. Nevertheless, hotel logos are a key element for hotels to inflict an overwhelming impression on their clientèle as it boosts their publicity and help them generate big profits.

Elements of hotel logos:

Hotel logos depict hotels as dependable corporations. These logos enforce the impression that the hotel they represent are the ultimate providers of the best hospitality services. Following are some significant features of the hotel logos that successfully accomplish the desired goals of the business:

Style of hotel logos:

The style and shape usually acquired by hotel logos is simple and elementary. Hotel logos must portray elegance and grace, which are the attributes of the hotel industry. Furthermore, hotel logos should encompass the element of hospitality in them to reflect the values of the business. Mostly, hotel logos have their title/name presented in a simple yet stylish manner, justifying the above-mentioned qualities. In some rare cases, a diverse look identifies the location, heritage or the amenities provided at the hotel, like the Taj Hotels logo has a cultural look, while the logos of the MGM Grand Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel chain speak of grandeur and their magnificent size.

Color of hotel logos:

To make an impact on the viewer, colors of the hotel logo have to be selected very carefully. The colors mainly used for hotel logos are either dark or bright, giving a very peaceful impression. Red, yellow, black and several tones of blue are usually used in hotel logos. These colors in the hotel logos represent the sophistication and refinement of the hotels and at the same time, give a character to the image of the logo. In most of the hotel logos, a single color is used throughout the design.

Font of hotel logos:

Apparently, fonts display the information about the company. For hotel logos, elegant fonts are mainly used that can clearly define the hotel itself. Fonts in hotel logos can range from exquisite and modern letterings to traditional typefaces.

With so many hotels mushrooming in nearly all major countries and cities of the world due to an increase in tourism, each hotel, in its true sense, must focus in providing hospitality services to its customers with a distinctive identity. And what better way there is to depict this element of warmth than to show it through your hotel logo.

Logo is a symbol that allows the consumers to seek you, remember you and set you apart from the rest. And even though your logo is not your brand, its continuous projection directly affects how your label will be received by others. It heightens the prospect of your brand being perceived as a competent product.

Insurance companies are financial institutions which generate their resources from the sale of premiums; covering individuals against loss. Their objective is to enhance the expertise of their agents in order to provide supreme economic safety to the customers they serve. First and foremost, insurance company logos need to be bold and striking in order to impress the consumers. They must also facilitate feelings of satisfaction and encourage perceptions regarding the company as a stable and secure establishment.

Elements of Insurance Company Logos:

The logo should persistently bolster the client and reinforce the premise that you are working for them in order to grant the best assistance possible. Thus an exemplary insurance company logo is required in order to project the firm’s uniqueness and ensure that it is considered as a trustworthy corporation. Some significant aspects of insurance company logos:

Shape of Insurance Company Logos:
The aim of a logo is to be memorized, hence the simpler the better. The shape must be straightforward, fresh and swift. Usually insurance company logos are just the name of the business in a notable font. Use of symbols promote relevancy and add character to the logo. Altogether, these attributes characterize an insurance company logo.

Color in Insurance Company Logos:
Color plays a vital role in insurance company logos. The colors need to be bold, uncomplicated, and easy to recognize and remember. It is necessary to find a suitable color combination that will have an everlasting appeal for the viewers. The colors widely used in insurance company logos are blue, black, white and yellow. And they prove to be quite appropriate. The color blue indicates security, authority, trust and corporate stability within an insurance company logo. Black denotes distinctiveness, boldness and sophistication whilst white and yellow represent truthfulness and positivity respectively. These colors effectively highlight simplicity and refinement in an insurance company logo.

Font in Insurance Company Logos:
The font employed within the insurance company logo moreover accentuates the impression of prestige and individuality held by the firm. Fonts such as Times New Roman and Arial black are used extensively as they project a bold image and render the logo to be more arresting.

An intelligent and appealing visual identity not only provides a brand with essential recognition, but also ensures its success. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that with proper marketing strategies, a logo is one of the most important ingredients in building a long-term impression on the customers.

This concept is very well managed among business entities that see logos as an important part of the business image. As a result, companies and designers are striving to create attractive yet distinctive logos that not only lure minds, but also add an eccentric aspect to the whole image of the business. However, with new logo designs being introduced almost daily, creating the right type of intelligent and distinctive logo is a challenge often faced by many designers.

In order to create a strong visual identity of a brand, designers are inventing unique and innovative concepts of corporate and brand logos. Among these creative masterpieces, 3D logo designs have revolutionized the logo market in a way like no other by offering high quality icons and typefaces in 3 dimensional views.

What is a 3D logo?
A 3D logo design refers to the designing of logos with special 3 dimensional visual effects in high resolution image files. 3D logos consist of bright colored images, attractive typefaces and appealing styles with 3 dimensional effects.

3D logo can be used for any web, print or visual representation but is usually recommended for web use. Because of its design properties, 3D logos are not created in Vector Format and are mostly made in PSD layer format, which can be separated from the background for easy use. Thus the image, text and size of a 3D logo can easily be modified in any graphic software like Adobe Photoshop.

So, the next time you are considering to get your business a distinctive logo, do consider a 3D logo.

Information Technology (IT) is an ever expanding field of computer sciences and communications. It refers to using computers and its related components (software, hardware, networks etc.) to process, store, safeguard and recover any electronic data. It has also become the backbone of the recent telecommunications revolution, enabling efficient and cheap communication and the transfer of data across the world within minutes. IT is a booming industry that requires huge investments and proper marketing and branding strategies for the promotion of its products. Thus, an IT logo needs to express the advanced technological nature of the business while still focusing on magnetizing customers’ recognition and support. It should incorporate all of these essential elements of the IT business to succeed in providing necessary identification, while being elaborative.

Elements of IT Logos:

Following are some features that are mostly incorporated in IT logos:

Colors in IT logos:
Colors play a crucial role in giving the IT logos an attractive and quality façade. In IT logos, mostly shades of green, blue, orange and black are used. These colors portray the developmental and technological features of the business, while focusing on bringing essential boldness and recognition to the overall image of the IT logo.

Style in IT Logos:
Style is deemed to be the most creative and challenging feature of the IT logos. An intelligently designed IT logo, with relevant style, will guarantee a strong logo design. However, a poorly created logo with an irrelevant concept may pass the wrong impression about the objectives of the company. Thus, it is important to incorporate a correct and clever style in IT logos. Examples of such work include: inclusion of sharp images with maximum number of mega pixels per inch/cm, addition of cell phones, pointed arrows, and other related designs to show the ever-developing and innovative nature of the IT business.

Fonts in IT Logos:
The use of fonts in IT logos should be innovative. However, their use should refer to the emergent and inventive character of the IT industry. Sharp, crisp and bold typefaces are often used in IT logos. While these innovative and modern fonts are employed in IT logos, their simplicity will always be important. Thus, the fonts in IT logos need to be simple, characteristic, and expressive.
