It is said that gender bias should never interfere in a logo designer’s work. When you create a logo design, you must be impartial and neutral in selecting the elements of logo design. But in some industry types, it becomes important to use different gender characteristics categorically. This is because there are many industries, consumer products and services specifically tailored for a certain gender type.
For instance, spas, beauty salons, cosmetics and jewelry are items of feminine contention. While on the other hand, gym, fitness clubs, corporate attire and sportswear logos exhibit masculine characteristics. The female logos exhibit a sense of appeal and delicacy while the male type logos display power, strength and influence.

I think beauty is an unique art and gender bias should never comes into the consideration. Male & female have different way of their personal beautification of body, while men are tend to some masculine beauty; women prefer feminine beauty and that’s completely different psychologies for different gender calculation. Anyway, the author have posted it and represented it in a brilliant fashion.

@Hairdresser soho Beauty is rarely the goal (or at least shouldn’t be) when designing a logo. A logo is a direct graphical representation of your brand, it’s a core marketing tool – not a beauty contest.
I’m surprised the logo for TwoChaps Branding wasn’t included on this list. Their iconic mustached design is widely considered one of the most memorable typographical logos in the industry.
