After I finished watching the movie The Karate Kid, I was amazed by the number of famous brands that had been featured in the film. Amongst the famous logos, I saw the adidas logo, and nike logo. This made me realize that corporations are increasingly using product placement in blockbuster movies. The technique we know as subliminal advertising is now being applied rapidly by large corporations.
Thus, I started exploring on Google to find out some other famous brands that were being featured in latest Hollywood movies. I came upon this magnificent website Brand Channel that holds a database of all major brands being featured in blockbuster movies. Some brands are used as product placements, while others appear in the movies as mere coincidences.
Although we see a movie countless times, but we seldom observe the many logo designs being advertised to us via subliminal advertising. A perfect example of this was the Oscar winning animated movie Logorama, which features around 3000 corporate logo designs. Following is a list of 10 famous brands that have been featured most in this year’s blockbuster movies.

Some out there, like consumer watchdogs and left-wingers, don’t like this practice.
You seem to have more of a neutral stance in this article towards product placement in the movies. I don’t see anything wrong with it myself.

I found this article very interesting. It is very intriguing to read about this type of thing. Subliminal messages are highly effective and films are so very dominant in media, it is not always mere coincidence that they are placed together. What better way to use subliminal messaging than in films? I completely agree with you. Great article.

I’m surprised that apple is also included on the list. I never expected it while the Chevrolet is no longer surprising. But all great logos. I suggest to have a website reviews about certain movies.

A further issue is that video gaming has become one of the all-time biggest forms of recreation for people of various age groups. Kids have fun with video games, plus adults do, too. Your XBox 360 is one of the favorite gaming systems for folks who love to have a lot of activities available to them, as well as who like to play live with people all over the world. Many thanks for sharing your ideas.
