Logo is the graphical representation used by an organization or enterprise in order to create product’s instant recognition among the people. Now a day companies are using different colorful and attractive logos to create their unique identity in market and in customers’ minds in order to gain their share in the market. Different companies are spending millions of dollars to make their logos stand-out in competition. Logos can be of different types:
• symbol based
• abstract
• initials based
• batch style logos and
• the mascot logos
Building the strong logo corporate identity |

After the industrial revolution in 19th century the photography and typography started gaining attention by people who used it to advertise their products and services. Logo of Coca Cola was created by the book keeper who worked at the store of the inventor because of his calligraphic skills. Owner of Nike (Phil Knight) selected a college girl to design their logo for only 35 USD. Later Phil gave that girl some more money as a token of appreciation. Swoosh is now famous for the Nike and people recognize their products by seeing this logo. So it is now evident that by building the strong logo corporate identity sometimes the need for developing individual product logos diminishes.
Quality of product |

Unilever is another company which has several subsidiaries working under it. In this case each subsidiary has its own logo and it is printed on their product along with the corporate logo. In this way people can easily associate quality of product to its corporate one. In this regard, it is important for the product to not inversely affect the positive image of the parent company. Nestle is a Swiss company, operating globally with hundreds of products in the market like Kit Kat, Nescafe, Cereals, Milo and etc. All these products have their own individual logos but they are parallel to the concept of the Corporate logo. People prefer to buy these products because they know Nestle is the one of the best fast moving consumer good (FMCG) provider in the world.

Now whether it is corporate or product logo the purpose is to make people recognize them in the clutter of thousands of products. Due to this logo building process now people all-around the world identify Coca Cola despite of different script used in their logo as their local brand from UK to China, India to Japan all embrace it as their own brand. Logo making is the most creative way to stand-out in such hypercompetitive environment.
